The Strathroy Minor Lacrosse Association (SMLA) is committed to fostering a safe, positive, and respectful environment for all participants. This Code of Conduct outlines expectations for behavior and the disciplinary actions for violations. By signing this document, all parents and players agree to abide by the principles of sportsmanship, respect, and integrity.
RCC Oshawa Parent Agreement
To ensure a safe, respectful, and positive experience for all participants during our stay at RCC Oshawa, we ask that all parents/guardians read and agree to the following expectations as outlined in our approved Action Plan.
I, the undersigned parent/guardian, agree to the following:
1. Adherence to RCC Oshawa Rules
- I have read and understand the RCC Oshawa facility rules.
- I will ensure my child(ren) also understand and follow these rules.
- I will respect all facility guidelines, including restrictions on alcohol and common area behavior.
2. Alcohol Consumption
- I acknowledge that excessive alcohol consumption and any alcohol use in common areas is strictly prohibited.
- I agree to model appropriate behavior and comply with all alcohol-related expectations.
3. Active Parental Supervision
- I understand that I am responsible for the behavior and supervision of my child(ren) at all times during the trip.
- I will support team monitors and staff in ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all participants.
4. Curfew Compliance
- I understand and will help enforce the team curfew of 10:00 PM.
- I will encourage my child(ren) to be respectful of quiet hours and other guests.
5. Support of Team Monitors and Staff
- I will respect the roles and responsibilities of team monitors, coaches, and Board Members.
- I understand that team monitors are empowered to address issues and escalate them as needed.
6. Incident Management and Cooperation
- I will cooperate fully in the event of any incident requiring attention.
- I understand that misconduct may be documented and reported as appropriate.
7. Contact and Rooming Information
- I will provide accurate contact and guardian details as required and update them if anything changes.
8. Acknowledgement of Consequences
- I understand that any disruptive or disrespectful behavior by myself, my child(ren), or anyone in my party may result in:
- Payment for any damages caused
- Immediate removal from RCC Oshawa
- Potential exclusion from future team accommodations
9. Commitment to a Fresh Start
- I appreciate the opportunity for a fresh start and commit to helping uphold the standards expected of our team.
