Organization - SMLA COVID -19 Response
Submitted By SMLA on Sunday, April 26, 2020

The impact of COVID-19 has been significant on us all. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate through these unprecedented times. We hope our lacrosse families and our entire communities are safe and secure.

As a member of the Ontario Lacrosse Association (OLA), the Strathroy Minor Lacrosse Association (SMLA) is relying on decisions made by the OLA as it gathers information needed to make the difficult decisions regarding all lacrosse programs in the province. The latest guidance from the OLA has been to pause all lacrosse activities until May 15th. This however, may change as our provinces current COVID-19 response is very fluid and more delays may be inevitable.  At this point, we still plan to host lacrosse in Strathroy at the house league and competitive levels this year.  Please plan for a later start to the season than usual.  We believe it will be important for our kids to be engaged and active as soon as the current situation allows for such activities again.

Stay safe and keep your sticks on stand-by for right now.
