Registration & Program Information for 2019 SMLA Teams

SMLA is pleased to offer multiple box lacrosse options for your child in 2019.  We are offering both competitive lacrosse teams and house league lacrosse teams. We are hoping to operate and maintain our own small house league and participate competitively within the OLA.

Our paper weight and tyke divisions will only have a 3 on 3, half-floor, house league option with approximately 7 players per team.  There will be no competitive teams at these age groups.

Our Novice, Peewee, Bantam, and Midget age groups will have both competitive and house league teams. For this to happen, we would require at least 35 kids to register at each of the above 4 age groups.  This would allow for 2 HL teams and 1 competitive team, with the option of AP'ing players from our HL teams.  However, our priority at these age groups will be to fill our competitive teams first.

Considering this is our inaugural season and we honestly can't predict the response yet to Minor Lacrosse in the Strathroy area.  Refunds will obviously be available if there are not enough players to make complete teams, or players are released from our Competitive teams. Released players will be asked to report to our House League teams (if available).

Registration begins January 1st, 2019 and runs to March 31st.  Registration is done online via the SportzSoft portal. Please select the below link when you are ready to register. We may also be conducting an Information Session over the next few months for parents and kids to "try lacrosse for free" and to speak with SMLA Volunteers directly - dates and locations to be determined.

The following information will help you through the 2019 registration process;

  • Age Divisions, Information and Fees: Are posted below.
  • Child's ID:  Parents are required to upload your child's ID with proof of age (pdf, jpg). We suggest having this available before you begin the process. It's as easy as taking a photo with your smartphone! **If you require both sides of the ID (eg. status card), 2 files will need to be uploaded**
  • Accepted forms of ID: Birth Certificate, Passport, Driver’s License, statement of live birth, baptismal certificates, Status card, any government issued ID.
  • Accepted payment options include: Credit Card, Interac Debit and E-Transfers only.
  • Volunteers: are also required to register in this same manner (eg. coaches, trainers, managers) so keep this in mind when setting up members in your profile. You can add members or additional registrations at any time.
  • Tax Receipts: are printed through the registration website, SMLA will not be provide receipts. You can go in and do this at any time.
