Welcome to the 2025 Strathroy Minor Lacrosse Association Season!

Below, you will find detailed information about registration, team programs, schedules, and policies for the upcoming season. Please scroll to the bottom of this document to begin the registration process.

Registration Details

  • Eligibility: Players residing within the municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc or closer to the Strathroy-Caradoc border than another lacrosse centre border must register with Strathroy Minor Lacrosse.

  • Non-Release Center: Strathroy Minor Lacrosse does not issue releases for players wishing to register with another association.

  • Registration Period: January 6, 2025, to May 15, 2025

  • Payment Deadline: All fees must be paid in full by May 15, 2025. Players cannot participate in practices or games until payment is completed.

  • Equipment: Full Equipment is required for all divisions. Full equipment includes: lacrosse stick, helmet, kidney pads, elbow pads, shoulder pads, gloves (hockey gloves are just fine), mouth guard and protective cup.

  • Head Coaches: Coaches for the 2025 season will be posted in January and will be listed under each team section. 

 

House League Teams:

U5 (Soft) (2022 & 2021)

  • Cost: $100

  • Dates: 6 weeks over May & June 2025

  • Travel: No

  • Structure:

    • 1 practice per week

  • Schedule:

    • Practices: Saturday Mornings

  • Additional Costs: Game shorts.

  • Referees: No.

  • Coaches/Volunteers Needed: Yes. Please contact the Vice President if interested in volunteering.

U7 (Paperweight) (2020/2019)

  • Cost: $200

  • Dates: May & June 2025

  • Travel: London (TBD)

  • Structure:

    • 1 practice per week

    • any friendly games will be held in replacement of the practice

  • Schedule:

    • Home Games:Tuesday's

    • Away Games: TBD

    • Practices: Tuesdays

  • Additional Costs: Game shorts.

  • Referees: Yes

  • Coaches/Volunteers Needed: Yes. Please contact the Vice President if interested in volunteering.

Competitive/Representative Teams:


U9 (2018 & 2017)

  • Cost: $550

  • Dates: April to August 2025

  • Travel: London, Sarnia, Wallaceburg, and Windsor

  • Structure:

    • 2-3 floor times per week (games/practices)

    • 1 tournament and Provincial Tournament

  • Schedule:

    • Home Games: Saturdays, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

    • Away Games: Vary

    • Practices: Tuesday & Saturday (start mid-April)

    • Pre-season Camp: Starts end of March

    • Games: Start in May

  • Additional Costs: Game shorts and additional tournaments (if decided by the team & coaches).

  • Referees: Yes

  • Coaches/Volunteers Needed: Yes. Please contact the Vice President if interested in volunteering.

  •  Try-Outs: Possible. This will be determined when registration closes.  Depending on the number of registered players there may be a second team.

U11 (2016 & 2015)

  • Cost: $550

  • Dates: April to August 2025

  • Travel: London, Sarnia, Wallaceburg, and Windsor

  • Structure:

    • 2-3 floor times per week (games/practices)

    • 1 tournament and Provincial Tournament

  • Schedule:

    • Home Games: Saturdays, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

    • Away Games: Vary

    • Practices: Wednesday & Saturday (start mid-April)

    • Pre-season Camp: Start mid-March

    • Games: Start in May

  • Additional Costs: Game shorts and additional tournaments (if decided by the team & coaches).

U13 (2014 & 2013)

  • Cost: $550

  • Dates: April to August 2025

U11 Division: August 8-10

U17 Division: August 8-10

Discounts

  1. Committed Goalie Discount: 50% off registration fee (goalie equipment provided by SMLA).

  2. Coaching Discount: 25% off registration fee.

  3. Executive Board Discount: 25% off registration fee.

Required Documentation


Required Documentation

  • Child’s ID: Upload proof of age (e.g., birth certificate, passport, status card). For two-sided IDs, upload both sides.

  • Accepted Payment Options: Credit card, Interac Debit, or e-transfers.

  • Tax Receipts: Printable through the registration portal.

Additional Policies

  • No Payment, No Play: Registration is incomplete until all fees are paid. Insurance is only active upon full payment.

  • Volunteer Registration: Coaches, trainers, and managers must register via the same portal as the players. You can add members or additional registrations at any time.
